研究表明，我们赖以生存的地球大约有46亿年，地球生命从42亿年前的“水球发展阶段”起，就随着环境的变化，不停地演化发展。

      上千件化石展品，涵盖了古今中外地球生命发展演化的亘古历程。有元古宙、古生代、中生代、新生代的代表性标准化石；包含了原生生物界、植物界和动物界三大系统生物类型；涵盖了水、陆、空各领域生物。最大单件展品有上百平米的三叠纪海百合化石，最小者为侏罗纪古蚊子化石；从知名度很高的三叶虫、恐龙、猛犸象到稀有罕见的海百合漂浮器，应有尽有。

      所有展品按照地质历史发展的先后顺序（地质年代表）分展柜、展区依次排布，并尽可能还原其生物的生态环境，地球生物亿万年发展演化历程，尽收眼底！

Theme Exhibition of Biological History on the Earth

      Scientific research shows that the Earth is approximately 4.6 billion years old. And life on the Earth originated from ‘the water ball phase’ 4.2 billion years ago and evolves with the changing environment.

      More than one thousand fossil items are displayed here to capture the long journey of evolutionary history of life both in China and in the rest of the world: including typical fossils from the Proterozoic Eon, Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras; covering the three major bio systems prototists, plants and animals; and sampling creatures living on land, in the air and in the water. From the largest item, a fossil of Triassic crinoid that takes up more than one hundred square meters of space, to the smallest item a fossil of a Jurassic mosquito, from the well-known species such as trilobite, dinosaur and mammoth to the rare ones like the fossil of crinoid calyx, there is a wide ranging collection of fossils in this room.

      All the items are arranged in cabinets and zones according to the sequence of the geological history (geologic time scale) in the best efforts to recreate the ecological environment of the creatures and the billions of years of evolutionary process of life on the Earth.
